Who runs this site

JUXTONOMICS is an independent podcast and blog at juxtonomics.com. The operator responsible for its use of personal information can be contacted here:

Reading and searching

The blog is publicly readable. Its current features do not ask you to create an account, sign in, subscribe to a newsletter, post comments, upload files, or make payments. The blog does not maintain a visitor-profile database.

Search runs against the blog’s own articles and topic pages. The words you enter are sent to this website in the page address, such as /search?q=trade. That address can appear in your browser history, copied links, and hosting request records. Avoid entering private or sensitive information into search.

Opening an article, image, or RSS feed makes a request to the site’s hosting service. Hosting and security services may process technical information associated with requests, such as an IP address, requested page, browser details, time, and error information, to deliver the site, diagnose faults, and protect it from misuse.

Cookies, storage, and tracking

The blog’s custom code does not set cookies, save visitor information in local or session storage, or include advertising pixels or third-party audience analytics. The carousel’s selected article is kept temporarily in page memory. There is currently no embedded podcast player.

This describes the blog’s own features, not a promise that the hosting platform or your browser never uses cookies. Platform security and delivery functions are managed by the hosting provider.

The blog does not build advertising profiles, sell visitor information, or share it for cross-site targeted advertising. Its own code does not track readers across other websites, and it does not change behavior in response to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Any provider-controlled processing is separate from these application features.

If you contact us

Sending an email provides the address, name, message, and any attachments you choose to include. We use that information to answer your request, investigate a correction or rights concern, and keep a record of its resolution. Contacting us does not subscribe you to marketing. Please include only the information needed to explain the issue.

Where a legal basis is required, handling correspondence and maintaining a secure, functioning blog serve our legitimate interests in answering readers and operating the publication. We may also use information when necessary to meet a legal obligation.

Service providers and outside websites

OpenAI provides ChatGPT Sites hosting on our behalf, including the services needed to deliver and maintain this blog. Hosted information is handled under the applicable hosting agreement and data-processing terms. Our contact inbox uses Gmail. Google processes email sent to this address as described in its Privacy Policy. Information may be disclosed when legally required or necessary to address abuse or protect legal rights.

For information about the platform, see the ChatGPT Sites Terms. OpenAI’s use of information for its own services is described in its Privacy Policy. Processing locations and retention for provider-managed systems depend on the applicable provider arrangements; we do not promise a particular hosting country or provider-log deletion period.

Source citations and image credits link to other websites. Those sites receive information when you visit them and have their own privacy practices. Adding this blog’s RSS feed to a reader is handled by the reader you choose; it does not create a mailing-list subscription with JUXTONOMICS.

Retention and your choices

We keep correspondence only while needed to handle the matter, document a correction or permission, or meet legal obligations. The nature of the request, any unresolved dispute, and applicable recordkeeping requirements determine the period. The blog has no separate saved-search or reader-account records to retain.

Depending on applicable law, you may be entitled to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, or object to certain uses of your information. Send requests to the contact above. We may need proportionate information to verify a request and will explain any limits that apply. You may also raise concerns with the relevant privacy regulator.

Children

JUXTONOMICS is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page and its effective date when our practices change. Material changes will also be noted on this page. If we introduce features such as email subscriptions, advertising, or embedded players, their data practices and any necessary choices must be explained before those features begin collecting information.
